She holds both graduate and undergraduate degrees (conferred in 1976 and 1974, respectively) from Mankato State University in Minnesota. She was licensed as a U.S. Customs House Broker by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in 2005.

Brent WM. Primus, J.D. is the C.E.O. of Primus Law Office, P.A. He graduated from Lawrence University in 1968, spent two years with the American Peace Corps as an agricultural extension agent in rural India and returned to attend the University of Minnesota Law School, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1973. George W. Thompson is a Partner in the Washington, D. C. office of the law firm Neville, Peterson LLP, where he specializes in import and export regulation and transactions, administrative practice, trade policy, and litigation.
